About Dumers Lane Community Centre

Dumers Lane Community Centre is a welcoming place run by volunteers for people to come together, socialise, learn and care for each other.

The Centre was a small neighbourhood library earmarked for closure in December 2017. Members of a long established and popular “50 Plus” club with support from community minded volunteers launched a campaign to find ways to keep the building open. As a result of negotiations, the Council offered a five years lease to Friends of Dumers Lane Community Centre. The lease was signed on 10th August 2018.

Friends of Dumers Lane Community Centre company limited is a small, not-for-profit social enterprise and now a Registered Charity. Getting this project off the ground and keeping it going has been a huge learning curve for us all!

So, we hope you will offer whatever support you can to help us keep the Centre open by donating your time, services, money or simply by making use of the facilities, enrol on a course, use some our services, join a club or start your own!
